On the Job Training

Before participating in our Summer Youth Program or On the Job Training(OJT), employers must become a vendor with the state of FL and Vocational Rehabilitation. To apply for vendor certification, just follow these steps:

1. First, register with the My Florida Market Place (MFMP) statewide electronic purchasing and payment system at: https://vendor.myfloridamarketplace.com/ Registering with MFMP is a very important step because this system is essential in processing of payments to a vendor for their commodities or services. ***Vendors providing direct service to eligible clients are exempt from the 1% fee that MFMP usually charges, even though vendors must sign that they will accept the fee. There will be a disclaimer on all DVR authorizations that ensures that DVR vendors of direct client services are not subject to this fee.

2. Complete the DVR Standard Vendor Application.
This Standard Vendor Application must be completed, signed by the vendor or authorized agent. If an authorized agent of the vendor completes and signs the application, a letter stating that the authorized agent has signature authority for the vendor must be included and mailed along with supporting documentation listed in the Vendor Qualifications Manual, to the address listed at the bottom of the application or faxed to 850-245-3394.

The Standard Vendor Application is also on our website www.rehabworks.org on the “Vendors” page. You can directly download it here:

Workforce Recruitment Program

The Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with Disabilities (WRP) is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal sector employers nationwide with highly motivated postsecondary students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs. Co-sponsored by the Department of Labor (ODEP) and the Department of Defense with the participation of about 20 other federal agencies, the WRP has provided employment opportunities for over 4,000 students since 1995.

In 2007, 67 recruiters from 15 federal agencies visited about 250 college campuses nationwide, resulting in a database containing application information on more than 1800 students with disabilities. The students represent all majors, and range from college freshmen to graduate students and law students. Over 400 students were reported as being hired, the majority in summer jobs, in 17 different agencies.
